To the west, a plethora of stunning ocean beaches are less than a 10-minute drive, and with Hwy 101 north and south, there’s ample access to endless coastal outdoor recreation.
The location of Fern Hook Cabins is in a rafting, kayaking, and fishing paradise – with all of the local Smith River boat ramps just a few minutes away, and multiple major rivers within an hour’s journey. Numerous pristine Smith River swimming holes, surrounded by old-growth giant Redwoods, are less than a mile from Fern Hook Cabins. These provide perfect sunny summer day alternative when fog blankets the coastal beaches.
